Atlanta Falcons Harry Douglas gets honored by Clayton County School for being supportive of the Perry Learning Center. Douglas was honored for his outstanding time of volunteering to help young men and women and his financial support.
Harry Douglas returns to former high school and speak to over 500 students. Douglas stated that it was an honor to speak at his high school. He talked about discipline and getting a good education and having a good attitude. He also informed the students he went to college as a student-athlete, worked to get his BA in Political Science and will later go to law school after football. Douglas mentioned to the students to never count yourself out, love yourself, believe in yourself and be skillful. Harry also donated the charter bus rental expense for the football team to go to the State Playoff. He also spoke regularly at local area schools.
Douglas Gets High School Jersey Retired
Atlanta Falcons Rookie Harry Douglas goes back to his high school to get football jersey retired. This makes Harry the only player at Jonesboro High School to have his football and basketball jerseys retired. Douglas finished his career at Jonesboro High as First Team All-Region, Clayton County News Daily Southern Crest Super II Squad; caught 40 passes for 831 yards, seven touch downs his senior year, catches for 1,539 yards and 14 touch downs in three years. He was rated 3-Stars by Rival.com and accepted a football scholarship at University of Louisville in 2003. Harry stated: It feels great to have both jerseys retired.
